As long as I can remember I’ve been fascinated by the human body and process. By our complexity and by the body’s natural ability to recover and repair itself.
This initially led me to train as a nurse, registering in 1991, working within a wide variety of NHS and private healthcare settings in Southern England and New Zealand.
I continue to maintain my registration working part-time as a recovery/theatre scrub nurse.
After years of working clinically in acute conventional medicine, I felt I wanted to train in complementary therapies as personally I chose an holistic approach.
Over the next few years I completed diplomas in massage, reflexology, Indian head massage, colour therapy and reiki. In 2005 I set up private practice in South West England. After a few years I felt that there was “something else” I needed to add to my practice, although unsure what, after some exploration I was drawn to craniosacral therapy.
My journey with craniosacral began in 2012 training with Franklyn Sills at the Karuna Institute. This was a life changing experience for me. I realized throughout the course that all my previous trainings were in fact foundation courses, as craniosacral therapy was what I was meant to be doing and the skills I had previously learnt, knowledge of the human body both anatomically and physically being with human beings during their disease and recovery process and witnessing cycles of life throughout my working life, gave me a wealth of experience and understanding to draw upon within the profound, powerful yet subtle cranial field. I continue to be in awe of this work and the inherent healing capacity of the body-mind-spirit being that is the human being.
I work with a wide variety of clients from babies to adults and see a range of conditions including but not exclusively: Stress, anxiety, insomnia, tinnitus, neuralgia, back pain, headaches, migraine, fibromyalgia, trauma, complex cases, colic, lethargy, depression.
In more recent years I have been drawn to work with pre and perinatal processes.
I have been practising as a BCST since 2014 in a variety of clinics (home and mutidisciplinary).
I assisted Franklyn Sills and Cherionna Menzam-Sills on Deepening into biodynamics CPD April 2019.
I joined the Tutor team at the Karuna Institute 2018-2020 Biodynamic Craniosacral training.
I set up and run a low cost baby clinic in Glastonbury with a craniosacral colleague.
I have regular supervision.
I’m a member of the Craniosacral Therapy Association
I’m a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
I’m on part 1 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council register.

I love nature, the natural world, wild places and stillness, tending my garden, walking, singing, cooking and swimming. I meditate, have had years of Alexander technique lessons, work with the medicine wheel and am interested in contellation work. I enjoy a lighthearted approach to life.
